Dr. Amy Toth joined the veterinary team at Hill Country Animal Hospital in 2015. Born and raised in Austin, TX, Dr. Toth knew she wanted to become a veterinarian the moment she got her first pet—a tiny, furry, beautiful Yorkipoo named Poopek. She shared an instant bond with Poopek and prides herself on ensuring to help to conserve that unique bond between people and their own pets every day.
Dr. Toth's father is a practicing veterinarian in Austin, and during her childhood she spent time at his clinic, which she considered a second home. Dr. Toth earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 2009 from Texas A&M University. As well as her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2013.
A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Toth is professionally interested in dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is being welcomed into people's families and becoming a part of the relationship between a person and their pet.
At home, Dr. Toth’s three loves consist of a black and white Persian cat named Catsanova, a tortoiseshell Persian cat named Turtle, a Himalyan flame point cat named Grampa Potato. She also loves to run, and enjoys spending time reading, gardening, and doing yoga.
