Dr. Holcomb is the founder of Hill Country Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge and has been proudly providing the highest quality veterinary medicine in Austin since 1993. Born and raised in Austin, Dr. Holcomb attended Texas A&M University as both an undergraduate and a veterinary student, earning a B.S. in Animal Science followed by his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. In addition to general medicine, Dr. Holcomb has a particular interest in dermatology and surgery. 

A member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association,  

In his spare time, Dr. Holcomb enjoys scuba diving with Eels on Wheels, ranching, farming, and staying active. He and his wife Lacy love spending time with their family; their son, Taylor, their daughter-in-law, Erin, their two grandsons and one granddaughter, and their daughter, Haley, the Hospital Administrator at Hill Country Animal Hospital. The Holcomb family wouldn’t be fully complete without their two dogs, Bachelor and Tooley.
