Dr. Katherine Ryan joined the veterinary team at Hill Country Animal Hospital in January of 2024.  She was born and raised in Pflugerville, TX.  She attended Tulane University where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, as well as, a minor in Business.  She then attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2017 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Ryan has spent the last five years working as an associate veterinarian at a predominately small animal clinic in Collinsville, Virginia, but did have the opportunity to provide basic preventative care to a small group of horses as well.  Dr. Ryan is excited to have moved back to her hometown and the opportunity to serve the people and pets of the community she grew up in.  Her professional interests include preventative medicine, dentals, and soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Ryan enjoys reading a good mystery novel, painting, hiking, or playing with her two dogs, Sophie and Sage.
